Let’s Help | #BlackLivesMatter

Although this is usually a fun and easy blog where I talk about books and all stuff bookish, I just had to talk about something and everybody knows about what.

What’s been happening in the U.S. and around the world in the recent weeks is just horrible and so shocking and sad. Truth is, this has been happening for as long as people remember. Even though it’s 2020, a year where our great-grandparents thought there would be flying cars, instead of that, we have this disgusting hate. People are still as ignorant as ever and they think it’s okay to judge, torture and KILL a person because of their skin color. Who are you to decide on someone else’s life? Who are you to say you’re better than someone else only because their skin is darker than yours?

How can we call our world modern if there is so many people who still act like animals. Racism was never acceptable and never will be. But there are still too many people who think they are superior. It’s our job to show them they are not. In fact, no one is. We are all equal and that’s why we need to join our hands and help our friends who have been going through so much terrible stuff. They need our help now more than ever before. We should all be brothers and sisters and act together because that is the only way to cure this illness called racism and racial injustice.

George Floyd, a man who was brutally murdered, died innocent and I want to express my condolences to his family. I cannot even imagine how hard it is for them right now. I am truly sorry for your loss.

Regarding all this, I will linking a page where you can get involved and help by donating if you can. This page is very helpful and provides a lot of links where you can sign the petitons and also donate to the George Floyd Memorial Fund.

Also, I think it’s necessary we are all educated on this matter. Educate yourself by watching documentaries, reading books or articles about this matter. But most important of all, stay safe everyone and let’s fight together and end racial injustice once and for all!
