The Coffee Book Tag

Hello everyone! I don’t think I’ve talked about this on my blog, but I love coffee. I drink a very strong Turkish coffee with a tiny bit of sugar and milk. I am very specific with my coffee and that’s why I ALWAYS use a measuring scale for my ingredients (and I drink 2-3 a day). If I don’t get my coffee right then my whole day is messed up lol.

Anyways, enough about my weird habits. I saw fellow bloggers nen & jen do this tag so I give props to them and whoever created it first. Before we get into the questions I have one for you: Do you like coffee and if you do how do you like it?

1. LONG BLACK

Name a series that’s tough to get into, but has hardcore fans.

I had to chose A Song of Ice and fire by George R. R. Martin. This might be controversial but I’ve never seen Game of Thrones (other than the first few episodes when the hype first started). I don’t really have interest in reading that even though I hear from my friends it’s such an interesting show and books, simply because it’s so long and it might be to gory for me.

2. PEPPERMINT MOCHA

Name a book that gets more popular during the winter or festive times of the year.

I don’t know if this gets more popular in the winter for other people, but it sure does for me. To me this is such a cozy winter read. I definitely need to re-read this soon, it’s been so long. To be honest I can watch the movies infinite number of times but it never occurs to me to re-read the books.

3. HOT CHOCOLATE

Name your favorite children’s book.

The Little Prince is such a beautiful book both for children and adults. I read this as a child but only upon re-reading it as a teen did I understand hidden meanings behind the story and it made me like it even more. I definitely think children should read this for school (if they don’t already)

4. DOUBLE SHOT ESPRESSO

Name a book that kept you on the edge of your seat from start to finish

I was going through my read books and I saw this. I remember I was feeling so weird while reading this and it’s just so sick and twisted you never expect 90% that happen. I started reading the sequel a year ago and I still haven’t finished it. Although I wasn’t into the whole plot I just want to know how things will turn out.

5. STARBUCKS

Name a book you see everywhere.

It’s definitely Beach Read by Emily Henry. Even though this only recently came out I’ve been seeing it everywhere (especially on WordPress). To be honest, even I requested it from Netgalley but I was denied unfortunately. To be honest I’m a bit sick of contemporary at the moment since I’ve read so much of it, but the premise of this is interesting.

6. THE HIPSTER COFFEE SHOP

Give a book by an indie author a shout out.

Wow! This was such an amazing book. I’ve recently read it and I absolutely loved it. It’s super unique. Read my review here.

7. OOPS! ACCIDENTALLY GOT DECAF

Name a book you were expecting more from.

I used to be so into haters-to-lovers books and this one is on the extreme of that. However, this was just too much for me. Too much sex, sadism and shitty main characters.

8. THE PERFECT BLEND

Name a book or series that’s bitter sweet yet satisfying.

This book was so emotional and heartbreaking at some points, but it only made the story better. I loved this and it made it seem like Evelyn Hugo was an actual actress and this was her real-life biography.

This tag was super fun and I think it’s best I don’t tag anyone specifically to do it, but to invite all of you to try it out if it sparks your interest!

Happy reading!

  1. Oh I’m so glad to see you gave this tag a try! Completely agree with you about GoT and Vicious. I haven’t read The Little Prince but it’s on my TBR. I ADORED Beach Read. It felt like it had more depth than your average contemp romance. It was so different from the others I’ve read lately. I still find myself thinking about it randomly. Fab choices in here Soph 🙂
