I can’t believe it’s the end of June already. I don’t know how I feel about this year going by so quickly. Anyways, June will hopefully be better for me in terms of reading because although I’m working a lot (I’m planning a vacation, if this pandemic situation doesn’t get worse of course) but the exams are almost over and I’m immediately less stressed out. I will of course be realistic in terms of my reading goals but I know what I’d like to read.
Without further ado, here are my books…
NETGALLEY TBR
Misleading a Duke – all I know about this is that it’s a regency romance about a a girl who’s bethroted to a man she’s never met, but when they meet she doesn’t trust him at all and starts to investigate. But he’s not a traitor to the crown, he’s actually a secret agent.
A Duke, the Lady and a Baby – also a regency romance and it comes out in two days, however, I will not be able to review it before publication. I’ve already talked about this one a lot on my blog and I passed it on from my last month’s tbrs because I still haven’t picked it up lol.
BLM READING LIST
So, You Want to Talk About Race by Ijeoma Oluo
How To Be an Antiracist by Ibram X. Kendi
White Fragility: Why It’s so Hard For White People to Talk About Racism by Robin Diangelo
It’s important to me to read these books not only to understand but also to educate myself on these topics. It’s not about this in schools, colleges and on media so this is very important. Please do mention some more books on this matter that you feel are important for people to read. Please visit the page Black Lives Matter page to donate and support this movement and of course I recommend supporting black-owned business, stores and bookstores.
MY DARK VANESSA BY KATE ELIZABETH RUSSELL

Purchase: Amazon
‘Exploring the psychological dynamics of the relationship between a precocious yet naïve teenage girl and her magnetic and manipulative teacher, a brilliant, all-consuming read that marks the explosive debut of an extraordinary new writer.’ This has been all over book-community and I can’t wait to read it!
A HEART SO FIERCE AND BROKEN BY BRIDGET KEMMERER

Purchase: Amazon
I really need to read this because I loved the first book when I read it. I don’t remember much about the ending so I’ll have to re-read the synopsis at least.
THE RAVEN BOYS BY MAGGIE STIEFVATER

Purchase: Amazon
If you didn’t know, The Raven Boys is my favorite series ever and the last time I re-read this was about 4 years ago. To be honest I just started Call Down the Hawk so I really want to re-read this as well, although I think it would’ve been better if I’ve started The Raven Cycle first but whatever.
So those are all the books I want to get through, of course it’s not a tight plan so if I feel like reading anything else of course I’ll read it. This is a very realistic plan so I think I’ll be able to read through it. Let me know what’s on your July tbr!
Happy reading!
