June Wrap-Up | 2020

Hey guys! It’s July tomorrow (already!) so I decided to do a wrap-up today. June was a pretty stressful month for me because I had a lot of stuff going on. I managed to read 8 books which is 2 books less than last month. I am a bit disappointed but with my tight schedule, even when I had time I wanted to sleep or hang out with my friends so books weren’t my number one priority. And that is totally okay!

This month my repertoire was very interesting and I found some new faves (as well as flops) and I revisited some of my old gems. These are the books I have read…

5 STAR READS

The Hollow Gods by A.J. Vrana

Purchase: Amazon

This is a new fantasy favorite of mine and I repeatedly compare it to The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater. It’s so good and I recommend it to all of you fantasy lovers. Read my review here.

Pride and Prejudice (Jane Austen Children’s Stories)

Purchase: Amazon

I don’t usually read children stories nor classics and I’ve never read Pride and Prejudice before but I did really like it and I think it’s a great introduction to the actual book. Read my review here.

Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick (RE-READ)

Purchase: Amazon

This was my favorite book this month because if you didn’t know, it was my 13 y/o self favorite book so I decided to re-read it. Spoiler-alert – I ended up loving it and if you want to learn more read my post here.

4 STAR READS

Punk 57 by Penelope Douglas

Purchase: Amazon

I am a sucker for bully-romances and this hit the spot perfectly. It could’ve been so much better, though so be sure to read my review.

Romeantically Challenged by Marina Adair

Purchase: Amazon

This was such a cute contemporary romance. This is described as a humorous and heartening take on Three Men and a Baby meets 27 Dresses and it is exactly that but it’s super hilarious and crazy. Read my review here.

Up Close and Personal by Kathryn Freeman

Purchase: Amazon

A contemporary romance about a movie star who starts receiving weird messages from his stalker so he has to hire a bodyguard. Only his bodyguard is a very cute girl he just can’t get out of his head. Read my review here.

Live Like Legends by Kate Cornell

Purchase: Amazon

A ya fantasy about a girl who is the peace baby, bethroted to the enemy-country’s prince, until she gets stolen and married to a monster country’s king. It was pretty interesting although the ending was very rushed and messy. Read my review here.

3 STARS AND UNDER

Boys of Brayshaw High by Meagan Brandy

Purchase: Amazon

I rated this a whopping 1.5 stars because it just kept getting worse and worse as it progressed. It is a terrible book and I hated it but at least it was a reason for me to write a very spicy rant-review and I just love writing those.

Happy reading!
