Never Have I Ever Book Tag

Hello everyone! Today I’m doing this fun tag to expose all my reader secrets to you guys. I first saw this on Nehal Jane @ Books and Words blog and I don’t think I was tagged by anyone, but it seemed fun to me so I might as well do it.

The Rules:

  • Link back to original creator:  Madame Writer.
  • Link back to the person who tagged you or the blog where you first saw this tag.
  • Answer all prompts.
  • Tag at least 5 people.
  • Don’t lie.
  • Have fun!

Never Have I Ever…read a later book in a series before reading the first book

Unfortunately, I have. This happens to me a lot with Netgalley books since I don’t really research them before requesting and then I just be mad when the book ain’t that good. The last one was probably Misleading a Duke.

Never Have I Ever…burned a book

Of course I haven’t, what kind of a sociopath even does that??

Never Have I Ever…read a book I knew I would hate

I mean I knew from the description that this would be hella cringy but since it had so many good reviews I thought it would be a bit better. However, I hated this so much and I don’t want anything to do with it. Bye girl!

Never Have I Ever…wrote a fanfiction about my favorite books

Omg why do you have to call me out like that? Actually I’ve never written a fanfic about a book but I did have a Quotev fanfic about Justin Bieber that also had a sequel. After that I’ve written another story on Quotev and that one did really well. However, as I’ve grown older and read those stories again, I decided they were cute but didn’t want them to be on the internet anymore so I deleted them. I think I’ll stick to reading.

Never Have I Ever…loved a book when I was young and hated it when I got older

Not that I’m aware of. That might be because I don’t really read my old faves (except for Hush, Hush ) because I’m scared I will not like it after so many years. I might not actually like all those basic romance yas anymore but I think they have an important place in my life because they shaped me as a reader.

Never Have I Ever…dressed up as one of my favorite literary characters

Not really, although that would be such a fun thing to do! Maybe next Halloween.

Never Have I Ever…hated a book by an author I love

Unfortunately, I have. I absulutely hated A Deadly Education even thougg I love Naomi Novik and all the books I’ve read by her before. This was so unlike her and it wasn’t my cuppa tea.

Never Have I Ever…gone into a bookstore to buy one book and come out with many more

Nope because I buy my books online. In my country, you can’t even buy a paperback for less than 20$ and I don’t vibe with that. That’s why Book Depository is so better and easier for me. You can check out my Wishlist and of course if you want to, send me something.

Never Have I Ever…read the end of a book before reading the beginning

I always do it, it’s kind of my guilty pleasure. I do end up spoiling the book to myself but I don’t care, I’m too curious.

Never Have I Ever…read a book without the dust cover

I don’t really like hardcovers so I don’t really have to care about dust jackets. Paperbacks are so much more comfortable (and may I say cheaper).

Never Have I Ever…skim read nearly half a book

Well, I’m only human… Of course I did, especially when the book is not good. I couldn’t wait for this particular book to end so I just skipped through it.

As per usual, I will not be tagging anyone in particular but if you liked this tag please do it on your blog! Happy reading!
