Hello everyone! As I was browsing through WordPress and looking for new post ideas, I came upon this very interesting tag and decided to do it. I first saw it on Sofii @ A Book. A Thought.‘s blog so shoutout to her! I wasn’t tagged by anyone as far as I remember but I’m still doing it lol. Also, I will not be tagging anyone in particular, meaning I tag everyone who want to do it!
Let’s get started…
Read on the bed or the couch?
I actually love reading on couch when there is no one in the living room. However, my room is my temple where I can be alone and relax and enjoy my day. So, I guess it’s the bed for me!
Read at night or in the morning?
The afternoon. But seriously, I can’t read at night because I always fall asleep during reading, and in the morning I can’t be bothered. But, I love reading after lunch, if I have time of course.
Male main character or female main character?
Female of course! HOWEVER, what happens very often is that authors don’t know how to create a good female main character and they just become not-like-other-girls and super annoying + so similar to thousands of other main characters. I love when authors create a very powerful, confident female main character because that makes the story so much better!
First person POV or third person POV?
Third person POV ftw!! First person POV can get so annoying and third person makes everything so much more mature and classy. I especially love it when there’s multiple POVs.
Trilogies or quartets?
Standalones! I hate long series, especially when all of the books haven’t come out before I started reading it because I lose my interest in reading it + having to re-read a book before the next one comes out. If I had to choose, I’d say trilogies because of smaller quantity of books ofc, but there are some quartets that have been done very well, for example The Raven Cycle ❤
Libraries or bookstore?
Bookstores – mostly because of my shopping problem. Plus, most of the books from libraries are hardcovers and I just hate those!
Books that make you laugh or cry?
Laugh because I hate crying. It just makes me feel so weak and vulnerable haha. But I love a good crying book session. The last book I cried because of was CMBYN but I doubt I’ll ever read or watch it because of all the disgusting Armie Hammer drama. I can’t even look at the book without remembering those terrible texts.
Black book covers or white book covers?
Black or very colorful. The more colorful, the better!
Character-driven or plot-driven?
Both, especially when there’s a perfect mixture of both those elements. Most of all, I love very uniquely written books, that I will remember for a long time.
