Romance Books To Read This Valentine’s Day

Hello everyone! The Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and what better way to spend it than in company of a good book! We all have our own preferences when it comes to books, but I’ve realized that everyone likes at least a bit of romance. I rarely read pure Romance anymore but I’m a big fan of romance in Fantasy and Historical Fiction. It just makes everything so much more interesting. But, today I’ll be recommending some cute love stories to make your heart all ooey-gooey.

What are yall’s plans for Valentine’s Day? Funny thing, even through all my years of dating, sneaky links, one-night-stands and friends with benefits, I’ve never actually celebrated Valentine’s with my s/o. I always seem to be single this time of the year. But, it’s no big deal, I’ll still have a good time by myself!

Without further ado, here are some of my favorite love stories…

Beaus and Arrows by Rashida T. Williams

What better book to read for V-Day than a book where Cupid is the main character. This is such a cute romance about Cupid whose job it is to matchmake, although he’s not that good at it. However, when he breaks a girl’s heart beyond reparation, he must help her fix it by helping her find her true love.

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

Most of you have probably already read this but I wanted to put this here just to remind you of this book. It was one of my favorites when I was a teen and I remember it being soo cute (but Carry On was even better!)

Before We Were Strangers by Renee Carlino

This is a bit of a tear-jerker, but it’s such a good and unique book so please just read it. Plus, it’s the book that introduced me to Jeff Buckley and I’ll forever be grateful for that.

Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston

This is an enemies-to-lovers Romance about the Prince of England and The First Son of USA. This is such an angsty story I was literally screaming. Loved it!!

The Duchess Deal by Tessa Dare

All of Tessa Dare’s books are perfect for this ocassion but this one is personally my favorite. If you like a good steamy enemies-to-lovers regency romance you’ll love this. And by steamy I mean STEAMY!

The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson

Morgan Matson is my favorite Contemporary writer so you can’t go wrong with any of her books.

Cute love story – CHECK!

Amazing friendships – CHECK!

Loads of cute dogs – CHECK!

As per usual, if you have some good cute Romance recommendations, please drop them down below! I think I’ll be doing a read-a-thon this weekend and I really need some new books to read. All of these books are Contemporary but if you’re interested in seeing my favorite Fantasy Romance recs leave a comment 🙂

  1. I’ve read Fangirl and RW&RB and loved both of them. All of the others are on my TBR. Great picks!! I’m also very much with you in enjoying historical fic and fantasy and that romance always makes them better!
