Title: Good Girl, Bad Blood
Author: Holly Jackson
Description:
Pip is not a detective anymore.
With the help of Ravi Singh, she released a true-crime podcast about the murder case they solved together last year. The podcast has gone viral, yet Pip insists her investigating days are behind her.
But she will have to break that promise when someone she knows goes missing. Jamie Reynolds has disappeared, on the very same night the town hosted a memorial for the sixth-year anniversary of the deaths of Andie Bell and Sal Singh.
The police won’t do anything about it. And if they won’t look for Jamie then Pip will, uncovering more of her town’s dark secrets along the way… and this time everyone is listening. But will she find him before it’s too late?
RATING
I love this series and I’ve been flying through it!! It’s so good because sometimes when the first book is good, the sequel disappoints at least a little but with this series, every book is just as good if not even better.
What I specifically like about it is that although it deals with similar problems, it’s so much different than the first book. Pip is solving the disappearance of her friend’s brother Jamie, but she’s not the same Pip she was last year. She is now lowkey famous, with her own true crime podcast. But also she knows the risks of being a detective.
I love Pip because she’s so freaking smart. She gets these ideas that would never in a million years occur to anyone else.
I loved the theme of this book, it was pretty dark and scary at some points though. The ending was totally unexpected and it was a bit heart breaking to be honest.
At the moment I’m reading the third book and I’m so excited to see how the series will finish. It’s so much darker than the first two but I am enjoying it so far!

Aah, I love this series too! Honestly, As Good As Dead is my favourite of all three, especially because of how dark it is, so I hope you enjoy it too!
Loved this review!

I’m so glad you loved this one! I never felt a sequel did as well as this one. It’s as good or even better than the first in some ways. I didn’t love book 3 but I hope you enjoy it though

omg this series is a RIDE! 😂 I love a the second installment of AGGGTM with all my heart, and Pip and Ravi have a brilliant amount of page time amidst a clever plot. I liked hearing your opinion though. You write super well! I finished the series recently, ranted a bit more and talk about why book 3 is controversial in my review here 😊 If you enjoyed book 1 I’d really recommend it! https://hundredsandthousandsofbooks.blog/2022/08/11/a-controversial-thriller-as-good-as-dead-review/
